Executive Job description

To work closely with the Executive Support Manager, Regional Director and Humber Leadership Team to understand and assist in the delivery of key initiatives and priorities.

To be a figurehead for the Humber region and a pivotal contact for the Front of House, Regional Director and other members of the SLT. Event Management and other business matters ensuring first-class customer service and exceptionally high standards throughout.

Supporting all facilities and office management requests along with the responsibility of all Front of House staff across the Humber Region. Liaising with the Regional Director for business and customer/ stakeholder relations and ensuring the ABP brand remains positive in the port region. Act in an advisory capacity for port management affairs.

Act as deputy to the Executive Support Manager maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout all areas of the business at all times.

To be the figurehead for community/good neighbor relations for the port, ensuring the ABP brand remains positive in the port region

Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring a proactive and efficient service is provided on a day-to-day basis for all internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage specific programs and tasks related to office management, administration and facilities ensuring a consistent approach and sharing of good practice
  • Manage supplier accounts for the Humber Region ensuring all offices and terminal contracts are maintained to a high standard such as cleaner, stationary, caterers, hotels and conference facilities
  • Facilitate Group Travel account management ensuring all databases are up to date and ensuring cost-saving and best practices throughout the group
  • Allocating, reallocating and managing space between buildings
  • Manage expenses and Hospitality Register for the Humber Region
  • Lead direct and mentor a team of Front of House and Executive Support staff which in turn will provide support to the Regional Director and the Humber Leadership Team in the most effective and efficient manner, driving quality improvement initiatives that make the Humber offices a best in class customer/tenant service
  • Participate in partnership with operations, commercial, property, engineering, marine, compliance and other support functions to ensure the overall needs and requirements of the customers, port users, tenants and community neighbours are met, with service excellence at the heart of the role
  • Ensure on-going development and training of direct reports (5) ensuring job holders have sufficient knowledge to be able to operate independently on a day-to-day basis.
