A Principal Technology Recruiter acts as a consultant to the business, leading the recruitment processes from end to end. A Principal Technology Recruiter is a recruitment expert that can manage complex clients and offers with little supervision. Using data, Principal Technology Recruiters create and implement recruitment strategies that are specific to each role, delivering a pipeline of high-quality diverse candidates. Principal Technology Recruiters will be aligned with our most ambitious and complex clients given their level of expertise.

  • Attract and source talent for United’s most critical and complex Digital Technology roles
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments of talent to find alignment between their skills and our key business problems
  • Partners with hiring leaders and HR partners to create sourcing strategies aimed at developing the strongest, most diverse candidate pool pipeline for open roles across the assigned group
  • Partner with external organizations to create and maintain talent pipelines
  • Consistently works with a process improvement orientation
  • Provides value to TA members by recommending and implementing process opportunities
  • Provides change management around process enhancements
  • Stays abreast on new recruitment trends and technologies and brings back findings to the team
  • Educates recruiters and hiring managers on candidate attraction and sourcing opportunities
  • Uses data to inform recruitment decisions and provides guidance to partners around candidate management
  • Exert executive presence when supporting leadership with recruitment decisions, such as when advocating for a candidate

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of corporate digital technology recruitment experience
  • Proven experience driving process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a consultant, make data-driven talent recommendations and create and implement recruitment strategies
  • Ability to engage relevantly with candidates, ensuring a high-touch candidate experience
  • Master-level sourcing capabilities: ability to engage in substantial candidate outreach
  • Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
  • Strong emphasis on customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
  • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills
  • Strategic and forward-thinking
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Solid knowledge of social media and demonstrated usage of tools such as LinkedIn
  • Ability to coach and counsel internal and external candidates on career development
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to coach and counsel other recruiters on standard methodologies and recruiting processes
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage and lead special projects, in addition to typical recruiting workload
  • Ability to recruit hard-to-fill positions by applying various sourcing methods
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
