Training Manager Job description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy best practices training courseware, aids, and manuals
  • Manage catalogue of all flight ops training related manuals, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Create dynamic, innovative, and relevant content, reflecting current line and/or industry operations
  • Oversee all technical manual and training aid revisions
  • Represent Spirit with other industry leaders to collaborate and participate in lessons learned programs
  • Identify gaps in training and drive improvement in content
  • Accurate catalog of both regulatory and industry ground training requirements.
  • Utilize surveying and audits to assess the success of the training material 
  • Participate in ILT and LMS courseware content and development
  • Facilitate timely training courseware, training aids and manuals updates.
  • Employ best equipment, technology, and methods to achieve efficiency and improved learning
  • Identify organizational, regulatory and industry best practices
  • Establish training data trend analysis and reporting program.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience: Aviation Management
  • 3-5 years’ experience 
  • FAA Commercial Certificates with Multi and Instrument rating
  • Excellent technical research and writing skills
  • Skilled in hardware and software including proficiency with MS Outlook, Office suite etc.
  • Relays information in timely, clear and concise format
  • Listens and understand provide feedback. Actively reaches out to students and colleagues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Places team goal(s) and initiatives above personal gain. Listens
  • Communicates and influences effectively to create seamless collaboration.

Overview

The Training Academic Specialist is a Subject Matter Expert who is responsible for cataloging, researching and updating all training related manuals, syllabus, courseware, and training aids. Develop and maintain courseware library for each curriculum. Collaborate with working groups to improve training related products. Conduct company and/or industry research to identify and develop regulator and industry training best practices. Collaborate with Flt Operation Specialist to update training relate manuals and documents. Collaborate with LMS to update LMS base courseware.
