We are proud to set the standard for performance excellence in our industry. To help us continue our growth, we are seeking an experienced operations leader to join our highly skilled team. The VP of GSE will direct all GSE services to ensure well-maintained vehicles, organization, and tracking of the fleet and expenses within the company. Guide the GSE maintenance team to accurately maintain a wide range of Airport Service equipment and Ground Support Equipment. Support, direct, and hold Workshop Managers responsible for an exceptional level of quality of all vehicles in the company.
Provide guidance to all departments and all levels of leadership regarding GAT's safety response to significant events (and their impacts) such as aircraft, and GSE accidents.
Directs a preventive maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize the use of equipment.
Demonstrates the ability to maintain a safety program that will ensure all ground support equipment is maintained to the correct specifications, and all employees are current and compliant with the correct training in relation to their position.
Maintained oversight of all GSE Workshops in multiple locations.
Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is required.
Responsible for ensuring the team is running equipment tests, and schematics, and obtaining replacement parts is desired.
Responsible for record-keeping such as parts inventory, fleet inventory, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Organization and tracking of GSE expenses.
Administers a testing and inspection program to determine quality, suitability, and compliance with
specifications for vehicles, parts accessories, and materials.
Directs a quantity and quality control program to maintain satisfactory levels of work performance.
Plans organize and direct the work of the duties to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities, and equipment.
Ensure safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of education and experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in the airline industry.
- 7- 10+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair in industrial vehicle operation, including experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity managing and leading a team in multiple locations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Must be willing to travel and be away from home base for extended periods of time when required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Operational leadership with the ability to perform in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
