Mechanical Engineer Job description
At Jet2.com we are proud to deliver a VIP Service to our customers. Building on our established operation at Bristol Airport, we are now expanding our fantastic Red Team to include Airside handling and are now recruiting our own in-house Vehicle Mechanic & Technician to allow us to fully manage our service delivery and ensure we deliver a fantastic service to our customers each and every time!
What will you do as a Vehicle Mechanic & Technician?
- Carry out the effective servicing and repairs of Jet2.com‘s vehicles and ground equipment in line with company and vehicle manufacturers recommendations.
- Perform daily checks on vehicles and equipment
- Identify, report and repair defects, ensuring auditable paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and on time.
- Ensure that Jet2.com ground handling equipment is compliant with both local and current regulatory requirements, including CAP642 and LOLER and PUWER.
- Repairing faults and ensuring the operational efficiency of equipment at our other bases, when the need arises, is also a requirement of the role.
This role is available on a 40 hour per week permanent contract basis. Working hours are Monday- Friday require flexibility to support the operation as required.

You will have relevant qualifications and experience in electromechanical repairs and servicing of GSE, light commercial vehicles and plant equipment. With up to date knowledge of current health and safety principles we are looking for someone who shares Jet2.com’s passion for delivering the highest standards in safety. You will be required to work under your own initiative, so it is vital that you have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively communicate information as required.
