Supply Chain Management Job description

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and automate Reports, Metrics and KPI’s to support Material Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Fuel Management, and provide in-depth analysis to support supply chain optimization
  • Ensure actionable supply chain KPIs are set, measured and communicated across the organization to drive visibility, understanding and performance of the supply chain, and present recommendations to project sponsors and executives.
  • Analyze monthly inventory and budgets, develop variance reports, perform trend analysis and identify opportunities for cost reductions. 
  • Coordinate inventory cycle count schedules, SOP’s, monthly metrics and sox controls.
  • Create detailed inventory models (ABC, allocations) for review of inventory stocking positions in order to identify any exposure to supply chain readiness.
  • Strategic Planning: Participates in creating annual inventory budget analyses based on station and fleet growth. 
  • Assist in development of departmental business plans, budgets, initiatives and project management 
  • Develop Strategic Supplier Scorecards to asses performance and identify opportunities for supply chain improvements.
  • Drive innovation and enable Technology initiatives by maximizing capabilities of current Supply Chain ERP systems and seeking out new advancements in technology and process to support implementation and deployment for complex projects.
  • Partner with Material Planning, Repair & Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Transportation, and Fuel Management to build programs to drive cost transparency and establish supply chain strategy models to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Lead supply chain innovation and efficiency throughout the Supply Chain organization by partnering with departments to support the company’s vision.
  • Functions as a Supply Chain liaison within the business collaborating with Store Operations, IT, Tech Ops, Finance and Legal.
  • Define and co-manage supply chain strategy projects and development, including Material Planning, Forecasting & Analysis, Strategic Sourcing, and Fuel Management.
  • Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict and advance processes and their integration with various functions.
  • Develop stakeholder and supplier management strategy to ensure successful implementation and on-time delivery.
  • Analytical support all Strategic Sourcing initiatives/RFPs to drive saving opportunities.
  • Support supply chain system evaluations and selection processes, working alongside supply chain executives and work with end-users to define and prioritize system enhancements to improve productivity and operational efficiencies. 
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments.)

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Statistics, or Operations Management.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management and analysis.
  • Strategic thinking and strong internal and external client relationship.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial/logistics concepts; extensive inventory management experience.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
