This position is one of a team of 4-5 specialists. Responsible for accounts receivable and customer relations for AA Cargo domestic Customer accounts.   

What you'll do
  • Reconciliation of Cargo Customer Credit Accounts
  • Assist Cargo Credit Customers with all types of billing, rating and settlement questions
  • Research and resolution of billing discrepancies for customers
  • Interfacing with customers to obtain the required documentation for billing/discrepancy audit and correct application of customer payments
  • Maintain receivable aging within established targets
  • Work with customers to secure payment for past-due items
  • Heavy phone, email and verbal contact with credit customers, AA Sales, AA Revenue Management, AA Operations, AA cargo facilities and 3rd party vendors/partners 
  • Ad Hoc project as assigned

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bilingual
  • Accounting degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Strong Mathematical, problem solving, and analytical skills are required
  • Previous credit experience is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management
  • Highly organized with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines 
  • Strong PC skills including MS Excel, MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, and iCargo preferred          

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Ability to work intuitively and cooperatively with a variety of internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles, conceptual and analytical skills, and excellent problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Word) are required
  • Knowledge of SABRE and other commercial systems are a plus
