From conducting flight safety investigations and educating pilots on potential safety threats to implementing medical programs and helping prevent employee injuries, our team is instrumental in running a safe and successful airline for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst - Safety Investigations will support the safety assurance pillar of the safety management system and the Flight Safety Investigations (FSI) team to include the accomplishment of daily operational stakeholder needs and identification of operational risk through data analyses/visualizations. This position works with other departments and divisions to facilitate safety investigations and Technical Team roles and responsibilities.

  • Conducts significant damage and serious injury investigations involving ramp service and maintenance personnel and equipment
  • Drafts safety promotional products at the completion of investigatory activities
  • Supports the Manager, Safety Investigations & Accident Technical Response in Technical Team process development, auditing, and accident preparedness drills

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an aviation-related field or equivalent related industry experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of investigatory concepts
  • Knowledge and application of data visualization best practices
  • Data visualization skills using one or more reporting tools (i.e. Spotfire, Tableau, Palantir, etc.) to produce meaningful and sophisticated automation, reporting, and dashboards
  • Must be able to operate independently and make effective decisions in time-critical environments
  • Must possess time management skills to complete investigations expeditiously
  • Must possess the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of divisional management and employee union counterparts
  • Must possess a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • At least one year of aviation safety-related experience
  • Specific knowledge of ASAP, SMS, and/or OSHA investigations
