Analyst Job description

The Senior Analyst, Aircraft Appearance identifies areas of opportunity within JetBlue to push our competitive advantage and the Appearance Matters initiative. The Senior Analyst drives change by overseeing projects to completion while collaborating with people at different levels within various departments at JetBlue including but not limited to Airports, Technical Operations, Customer Insights, Inflight, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Brand, Strategic Sourcing and Flight Ops.

The Senior Analyst also partners with external business partners, ensuring that the internal appearance and cleanliness of our fleet meets or exceeds the expectations of our Customers while improving on time performance. This individual is passionate about working with and identifying data points and analytics that point to World Class Aircraft Appearance, and collaborating with various workgroups across JetBlue. Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with FP&A to monitor spend and ensure budget compliance
  • Recommend quarterly cabin objectives with strong consideration for Customer feedback trends
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with operational requirements, internal controls and regulations
  • Conduct periodic assessments of Airport Operations, Business Partners, and related training records, report findings and recommend changes to policies and procedures while advocating for innovative ways to use technology and automated systems
  • Develop presentations and analysis for department leaders on an ad hoc basis.
  • Evaluate non-compliance issues and work with Airport Leadership to achieve corrective action
  • Oversee scheduling of the Maximum Effort (MEC) and other scheduled cleaning tasks
  • Onboard new business partners servicing the JetBlue Aircraft
  • Utilize new technologies to increase interest, performance and visibility in the Aircraft Appearance Initiative
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
  • Three (3) years of analytical or other related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and theories to large audiences of diverse skill sets
  • Excellent data visualization skills
  • Available for moderate overnight travel (40%)
  • In possession of valid travel document with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Airline or cleaning related experience
  • Previous experience in process or procedure analysis
  • Cross functional front line experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Possess a broad knowledge of the airport operational experience along with an understanding of the interdependencies of all operating and support teams
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking)

   Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
