Airport Operations Agent Job description

As our business is growing, and our passenger numbers are increasing we are looking for a Security Welfare Manager to join our busy Security Team at Manchester Airport

The job holder will direct how people's casework is managed, Determine when and how to use additional services, such as Occupational Health and Physio services, and use people data to identify trends and inform local people strategies.

Based on the operation, in the security hall, the Welfare Manager is responsible for:

  • All Return to Work interviews
  • Intelligent use of Occupational Health and Physio referrals to promote attendance and wellbeing
  • Understanding when to use HSE Stress Assessment and follow-up actions 
  • Proactive absence management and support.
  • Management of short-term and long-term absence
  • Completion of all Attendance Review Meetings
  • Completion of all absence concern meetings
  • Review and report on team absence, and support managers by ensuring all actions are taken
  • Review of absence levels, trend analysis, and rectification
  • The promotion of positive people engagement
  • Continuous Improvement – act on trends and feedback to promote best practices throughout the operation.
  • Understanding business aims, including our partnership with the Trade Union, to achieve mutual aims.
