Regional Manager Job description

The Regional Manager's primary responsibilities include managing and managing the facility maintenance contractors and coordinating facilities maintenance projects including site selection, schematic design, space planning, construction management, relocation logistics, and contract execution for a region of assigned airports. The Regional Manager is also responsible to coordinate project and maintenance activities with the airport authority for all necessary approvals and construction coordination.

Responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to) coordinating and managing facility maintenance contractors, architects, construction managers, and suppliers, preparing annual FML budgets, defining scopes of work, and planning/influencing airport master planning activities by defining Delta facility requirements and offering technical solutions to airports.

In this role, you will collaborate heavily with Delta Clean, Legal, ACS, Cargo, Network, Tech Ops, Marketing, and other business units. Communicates with all levels of Delta people from executives to entry-level employees.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Five years of professional work experience in facility maintenance, construction management, project management, or design and construction
  • Experience in facility maintenance, project management, construction, and airline operations.
  • Must possess proven project management, and strong technical, analytical, mathematical, organizational, decision-making, and administrative skills.
  • Should possess strong financial, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple contractors as well as handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must perform with a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be proficient in the use of software including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Familiar with using AutoCAD and MS Project
  • Should possess excellent written and verbal skills. Should have overall knowledge of company procedures and policies.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • (If internal transfer) Must be performing satisfactorily in current role.
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by the date of hire to be considered for a U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, Business, or related field strongly desired.
  • Direct or indirect international facility work experience is a plus.
