Software development Job description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Oracle Developer is responsible for the development, enhancements, and support of applications at the Authority. The position would also own the development, setup and support of application integrations, leveraging API's (Application Programming Interface) or integration toolsets. The application developer will also work with other team members to scope, design, develop, test, implement, support, and enhance Oracle e-Business solutions. In addition, the developer will work on developing reports and dashboards per ITS reporting strategy and tools to support business requirements.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Design, set up, develop, and support business software applications and interface solutions that will be delivered into the Authority application environment following best practices and development standards.
- Design and develop customizations and/or enhancements to Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) R12 based on business requirements.
- Develop and support integrations between Oracle EBS and other third-party applications.
- Design and develop reports and dashboards following the Authority reporting strategy and tools.
- Provide Production Support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for assigned application issues.
- Unit test and engage in full system testing of all related technical functions, working with ITS Analysts and other staff within the project and Business teams.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Solicit technical and functional approval of same for subsequent development and testing.
- Engage in all production change requests for Oracle EBS and other platforms, supported by position.
- Stay current with industry changes to software development practices and languages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with all levels of business leaders and subject matter experts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in software development or computer science or a related study,
- Minimum two years of technical experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Workflow, Oracle EBS Open Interfaces, and API's.
- Minimum two years of experience developing and deploying Oracle EBS application forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.
- Minimum 3 years of experience at all stages of the project lifecycle, from business requirements and technical definitions to development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), unit testing, impact analysis, and production support
- Experience supporting Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) 12.2 application modules, including knowledge of Oracle database objects, packages, and procedures
- Experience designing and developing database objects, stored procedures, triggers, and functions in Oracle databases.
- Experience with Oracle Apex Development Platform is a plus
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud and/or FME Safe is a plus.
OR
- Equivalent experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would reasonably expect to provide the job-specific competencies noted below.
