Lab Technician

The successful candidates will serve as Lab technicians within the IFE Engineering organization of DFP.  The tasks associated with this role are specific to the engineering group and include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Uses computers, computer systems, and other technology to enter, document, access, receive or communicate information.
• Performs repairs to the component level (e.g., transistor, resistor, capacitor, etc.) replacement.
• Performs inspections during assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components. 
• Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. 
• Interprets and uses specifications, drawings, blueprints diagrams, schematics, or flow charts to determine operational methods or sequences to complete work activities.
• Can build or repair cables using modern crimping tools to include, DB, Quadax, and EN connectors
• Can build mechanical fixtures using drills, punches, and cutters
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles

The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $27.91 with a potential maximum hourly rate of $50.91. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums (Examples would include but are not limited to - Airframe and Powerplant license, Shift differential, Station location differential, Line Maintenance differential, and Skill differential).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

Minimum Job Qualification:

·       High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency

• Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by the date of hire to be considered for a U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

• Prior work experience in the airline industry 
• Manufacturing experience a plus
