Inventory Coordinator Job description

- Inventory Manager
- Based at London Stansted Airport
- 40 hours per week, permanent role
- Salary - £39,546 + Company Benefits
The Inventory Manager will be responsible for identifying and driving efficiencies in the end-to-end inventory process and ensuring all data for the Asset Management System is up to date and accurate to allow for analysis of data. You will lead a team of store operatives to deliver the Inventory plan in line with performance targets and compliance requirements.
Principal Accountabilities for Inventory Manager
- Process, receipt, store and despatch all goods received by Stansted into the central and forward stores.
- Integrate parts for new assets into the Asset Management System and work with Engineering and Facilities managers to finalize required stock levels.
- Work with operational managers across the business to ensure cost-effective procurement and delivery of consumables.
- Develop new innovative processes to drive efficiencies within the Inventory function.
- Continuously review minimum stock levels required and update the Asset Management System.
- Chair regular meetings with the Engineering Manager and Planners to ensure the correct quantity of materials are assigned to relevant job plans and subsequent planned work and to review what items require reordering.
- Work with operational teams to ensure compliance with processes for tracking and reordering parts and consumables.
- Keep vendor and price details up to date for all inventory items.
- Regular reviews of inventory data to ensure it is the best value for money and meets performance requirements.
- Work with key suppliers and procurement to ensure the best value for the price of all inventory items.
- Undertake regular stock checks to ensure accurate stock levels are achieved in the Asset Management System.
- Collate and circulate monthly performance reports for review.
- Mentor, coach and develop staff.
You
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate a flexible and helpful attitude, assisting in the smooth running of the airport. It is preferred that you have experience in a similar role. You will also ensure you maintain professional standards at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience in inventory management
- Maximo/Asset Management System
- MAGBuy Requisitioner
- Ability to hold an airside driving permit
- Leadership
- Effective relationship building with 3rd parties
- Technology and IT literate
- To be knowledgeable about the facilities and layout of the airport in order to assist passengers and airport users with their queries
