Recruitment Specialist Job description

This position will be part of the Human Resources team (called People, Performance and Development - PPD) in Montreal. You will be working closely with the local PPD team and will also interact often with PPD colleagues from other IATA international locations – especially Geneva. 

Reporting to the Specialist PPD Montreal, you will support the team and provide assistance in HR operations, and process improvements, as well as help with different administrative tasks.

What would your day be like
  • Process attestation letters, visa letters and other documents as required; 
  • Assist with the different processes for international employees in Montreal (Social Insurance Number, Régie de l'assurance Maladie du Québec,
  • Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec, etc.);
  • Monitor the work permits’ expiration dates, prepare the required documents, and support the employees during the renewal process;
  • Document the main PPD processes;
  • Assist with general administrative duties, e.g. filing, data entry, and electronic tracking;
  • Support with some recruitment activities: interview scheduling, reference checks, background checks;
  • Review and update PPD templates accordingly;
  • Support PPD Specialist on administrative activities & processes.

Candidates applying for this job need to be recent graduates, available to start quickly and work on a full-time basis (40 hours per week), for at least 6 months.

  •  You have graduated, or are in the last phase of graduating from a university program, preferably in the fields of human resources management or business administration;
  • You possess excellent administrative and organizational skills, with a strong focus on quality and high attention to detail;
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively internationally, cross-culturally, and at all levels in the organization;
  • You are proficient in MS Office products, with advanced skills in Word and Excel;
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
