Technician Servies Job description

Under the direction of Production management, the Interior Fabrication Technician will Fabricate interior Aircraft parts and assemblies, in accordance with all applicable instructions and standards.

  • Fabricate Phenolic Pre-Impregnated Fiberglass Sandwich and Laminate Details.
  • Operate Curing Ovens
  • Material Control
  • Material Handling
  • Build mold/tool preparation
  • Vacuum Bagging
  • Manufactured aircraft interior parts and assemblies in accordance with released data.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, engineering orders, test plans, and work instructions.
  • Comply with lean manufacturing principles and work with leads and supervisors to implement best practices in the manufacturing process.
  • Work with engineers and management on problem-solving production issues.
  • Set up and perform testing of interior components in accordance with released test plans.
  • Be prepared to cross-train and be utilized in other aspects of the production process.

The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $27.91 with a potential maximum hourly rate of $50.91. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums (Examples would include but are not limited to - Airframe and Powerplant license, Shift differential, Station location differential, Line Maintenance differential, and Skill differential).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum/basic skills & qualifications an individual qualified for this position should possess.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing and independently following work instructions
  • Must be able to read and understand Delta, Boeing, and Airbus process and material specifications.
  • Must be able to use precision measuring equipment.
  • Able to manufacture aircraft interior parts and assemblies in accordance with released data.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; able to read, comprehend and create written and verbal instructions in the English language
  • High level of manual dexterity and detail orientation
  • Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious places and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud.
