The Flight Operations Training Intern will integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional workplace. The Intern will utilize analytical and critical thinking skills to complete project-based work assignments with an emphasis on Flight Operations.

  • Schedule and host virtual training sessions
  • Assist with data entry and analysis
  • Provide LMS technical support (such as password resets)
  • Track e-learning training completions
  • Prepare and distribute pilot EFBs
  • Conduct EFB inventory audits
  • Conduct training center publication audits
  • Assist with curriculum development projects
  • Provide emergency drill training (aircraft doors, fire extinguishers, etc…)
  • Participate in instructor interviews
  • Assist Flight Operations Admin as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program in Aviation, Aviation Management, Airport Management, or a related program, with junior or senior class standing
  • Ability to work and be based in Minneapolis, MN
  • Ability to work full time (32-40 hours/week) during weekdays, with some schedule flexibility, if needed.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business environment
  • Above average written and communication skills
  • Strong PC skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Effective organizational, time management, & multi-tasking skills.
  • Prior analytical experience (data analysis/reporting) or database management experience preferred
  • Repetitive motion such as typing
  • Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bag files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.
  • Travel as necessary
