Analyst Job description

Apply data extraction, business, and quantitative skills towards insightful revenue analysis and practical business solutions on projects in revenue management and the broader commercial group. Engage various departments across the company to provide recommendations for revenue opportunities and profit enhancements.


  • Develop, implement, and analyze reports to track DLV’s revenue performance and profitability.
  • Assist in the preparation of economic models demonstrating the impact of external factors upon DLV and Delta and recommend a course of action aimed at optimizing company profitability.
  • Partner with sales to identify approaches to grow a profitable business and reduce unprofitable business.
  • Partner with marketing to create tracking tools and provide analyses to determine ROI on marketing initiatives in order to recommend alternatives to maximize return on marketing spend.
  • Assist in developing revenue forecasts based on relevant drivers. Analyze actual results to budget and forecast and prepare written findings.
  • Work with IT and Delta’s Revenue Pipeline team in the development, implementation, and enhancement of DLV’s data warehouse and overall data capabilities.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and research industry trends to identify and communicate opportunities and threats to DLV and Delta, along with action-oriented solutions.
  • Create, write, and present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leaders and participate in discussions by delivering action-oriented solutions in a concise and professional manner.


  • Regularly evaluate processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental policies/procedures and applicable governmental regulations.
  • Participate in meetings pertaining to assigned responsibilities; organize and lead as required.

DLV Corporate Headquarters, Atlanta GA


Full-Time Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required as job duties demand.


Domestic travel to fulfill assigned responsibilities.


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong PC skills including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Analytical, investigative and problem-solving mindset
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by the date of hire to be considered for a U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Business, Economics, Math, or Engineering majors preferred.)
  • Experience working in Data Analytics, Revenue Management, Finance or related fields
  • Versatile, broad airline/tour/hospitality commercial or financial background
  • Experience with data extraction and analysis tools such as Hyperion, QlikView, Tableau, SAS
