Cargo Service Agent Job description
The Station Administrative Assistant supports the ongoing people's needs of the station operations. Performs administrative-related duties and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: hiring, new hire paperwork, recruiting, HRIS data reconciliation, daily hours reconciling, payroll review and submission, benefits, and assisting the station manager with operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate new employee setup, onboarding, and documentation.
- Assist with the coordination of new hire orientation, new hire packages and relevant company training programs for all new hires
- Partner with corporate talent acquisition to coordinate station recruiting efforts, which include scheduling and/or conducting interviews, processing new-hire paperwork, scheduling classes, and processing fingerprints and badge paperwork for new hires and current employees.
- Responsible for daily hours reconciling, daily and weekly hours reporting, entering daily hours in GAT systems, payroll submission
- Oversee the uniform ordering and distribution for all new and existing employees, assist with purchasing as directed by management, and ensure purchase orders and/or approvals are obtained as requested
- Distribute approved materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.
- Work with Human Resources Team to ensure the company remains compliant with federal requirements in the areas of EEO, OSHA, FLSA, DOL.
- Maintain employee and payroll records within the company HRIS system while coordinating with the corporate support center.
- Follows appropriate HRIS termination protocols for all exiting employees in accordance with company policy and guidance of the corporate support center.
- Follows proper procedure for reporting job-related injuries and follows up with the support center as necessary.
- Support station management in creating a positive employee relations environment. Motivate personnel in a manner that effectively promotes good morale, housekeeping, and high productivity.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or related coursework preferred.
- Computer proficiency specifically with G Suite.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and confidentiality while maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment with detail-oriented precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
