Aircraft Engineer Job description

The successful candidates serve as an engineer within the TechOps Engineering organization.

The tasks associated with this role are specific to the engineering group and include, but are not limited to, the following:

Boeing Fleet – Systems

  • Provide aircraft engineering support to a variety of internal customers and outside suppliers to support solutions for long-term safety/reliability/cost-effectiveness.
  • Review, recommend, and implement manufacturers' service bulletins and other correspondence to affected fleets.
  • Review data and recommends/implements changes as required to improve aircraft reliability.
  • Support shop, hangar, and line maintenance customers in accomplishing Engineering projects.
  • Leave the office environment and go to the hangar, line, shop, planning, and other support groups to gain the details necessary to complete the accurate project.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Accept personal responsibility for assignments and act with a sense of urgency when initiating the necessary steps to complete them. Asks appropriate questions to ensure a complete understanding of the task/objective so that solutions do not negatively impact safety, schedules, or budgets.
  • Ability to recognize that shifting priorities and changing objectives are normal in a business environment.
  • Develop data under guidance or based on similar work in the past and/or provides feasible solutions to problems with low uncertainty.
  • Demonstrate to the team and leader that when tasks are assigned, timeline and quality commitments are met to the established goal.
  • Approach work with an open mind, understand he/she will have limitations and accepts feedback for development.
  • Act with integrity and shows value to others.
  • Internal candidates must be performing satisfactorily in their current positions.
  • Demonstrate that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
