Tradewind Aviation is looking for a full-time Avionics Technician to work out of our Westchester, NY (HPN) location. Avionics technicians are responsible for performing avionics / electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our fleet of turboprop / light jet aircraft; provides avionics & troubleshooting support for all Tradewind mechanics and pilots; performs other assigned duties. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The individual should be attentive to detail and have exceptional problem-solving and diverse mechanical skills. The position is non-exempt/hourly with possible overtime when available. Candidates must be flexible for the first or second shift. Hiring bonus available for individuals with 2+ years experience on Honeywell Apex and Rockwell Collins Proline avionics.
Requirements
- FAA A&P license (2+ Years of experience preferred)
- Valid US Driver’s License + Clean Driving Record
- Valid passport without travel restrictions
- Must pass a background check and drug screen upon contingent job offer
- Strength to lift 50lbs, and the ability to work in confined spaces
- Required maintaining an adequate set of tools
- Has a clear understating of the navigation, communication, and flight control systems of our fleet
- Must be willing to travel to various parts of the Caribbean and the Northeast US for short periods of time
