Aircraft Mechanic - HPN

Tradewind Aviation is a growing Part 135 Commuter & On-Demand Operator with bases in Waterbury/Oxford, CT (OXC), Westchester, NY (HPN) and San Juan, PR (SJU) offering premium scheduled services throughout the Northeast and Caribbean.

Tradewind Aviation is looking for a full-time Aircraft Mechanic to work out of our Westchester, NY (HPN) location. Mechanics are responsible for performing all airframe and powerplant maintenance on our fleet of turbo-prop and light jet aircraft as well as maintaining hangar equipment and performing other assigned duties. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The individual should be attentive to detail and have exceptional problem-solving and diverse mechanical skills. The position is non-exempt/hourly with possible overtime when available. Candidates must be flexible for the first or second shift. Hiring bonus available for individuals with 2+ years experience on Pilatus PC-12 / Cessna CJ3 airframes & P&WC PT6 / Williams FJ44-3A powerplants.

Requirements

• FAA A&P license (2+ Years of experience preferred)
• Valid US Driver’s License + Clean Driving Record
• Valid passport without travel restrictions
• Must pass a background check and drug screen upon contingent job offer
• Strength to lift 50lbs, and the ability to work in confined spaces
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to train
• Required to maintain an adequate set of tools
• Must be willing to travel to various parts of the Caribbean and the Northeast US for short periods of time
